Visitors

Just last weekend we welcomed our friends Greg and Ashley Wand from Cleburne, Texas. It was Ashley's first airplane flight, and their first (of many) visits to San Diego, California...and, what a fun visit it was!

Of course there was so much to do and see, but so little time. Luckily, they were content with just spending time with us. We did our best to share with them some new experience, regardless.

Their first night here, I jump started the trip with their first taste of sushi. I appreciated their willingness to try it all. Friday held a day at work with Don for Greg; a trip to San Diego's Fashion Valley and Mission Valley malls for Ashley. And, their first In-N-Out lunch. Saturday was spent relaxing by the pool. That evening we were able to indulge in a grown-up night out, so we headed to Ocean Beach to a favorite spot called South Beach - for the best fish tacos...

Sunday held our guests' introduction to Dim Sum, Chinese steamed dumplings and more. Then we indulged in San Diego's beautiful weather by taking a trip to La Jolla Shores and Cove.

We had a great weekend with our friends. Greg and Don got to spend some boy time together working on the buggy. And I got a chance to get to know Ashley a bit more, and learned that we share a love for cooking. We hope to have them out again soon, maybe next time they'll be able to bring their boys, too.
