...From sleeping into the 8am hour ...To being at school before the bell rings at 7:45am
...From days of play ...To structured academic activity, and paying attention
...From afternoons of naps and cartoons ...To evenings of homework (yup, in Kindergarten)
Like I said, this has been a time of adjustment for ALL of Us.
Luckily, Dad (the a.m. person) takes the boy to school in the morning, helping Isiah achieve his first award for Perfect Attendance for the first 30 days of school (no tardies nor absences). Ironically, that a.m. person didn't awake to his alarm the day before receiving the award...we feel horribly. Following school, Isiah is picked up by an awesome Italian woman who lives in the neighborhood. The boy then enjoys the rest of the afternoon playing, swimming, and movies at Nona Rose's house, along with three other Kindergarten cla
ssmates, and her grandson (who's a 1st grader at Isiah's school). Mom (me *wink*) picks him up, after an ocassional stop at Windmill Farms grocery story, it's home for homework while I start dinner and maybe some outside play with the neighborhood kids. Another plus to our new place...a nice, quiet, friendly neighborhood and kids to play with. After dinner, it's shower, storytime and bedtime...for ALL of Us!

Isiah had his first field trip to Bates Nut Farm. He got to ride in his first school bus, too. The boy reported enjoying a wagon-hay ride, seeing animals, picnicing on hay, and visiting a pumpkin patch...where he picked out his very own pumpkin. (check out those 'now' high-waters on our growing boy)

yikes! he looks so grown up in the pic with the pumpkins! miss you guys.
