This past Monday was Isiah's last day, well half-day oddly enough, of first grade! He had an amazing year. I was able to take last Friday off to join him and his class for their end-of-year picnic at a nearby park. It was a lot of fun, especially to see the friendships he's made and what a young man he is becoming.
I also got the chance to chat with his teacher a bit. Mrs. Alcorn was excited to share with me that of all the students in the class this year, our boy was her most improved student. She explained that from where he was when he first began the year to today, at the end of the school year, he's made amazing progress. He excelled three reading levels, and his final report card shows his continued proficiency in Math and Science. We are so proud of him!! Mrs. Alcorn also mentioned that we'll need to watch for him cause he'll grow up to get his heart broken. Our boy is such a softy and a lover.
